Arsenal legend Ian Wright has named Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison as a player to watch on Sunday.
The Gunners icon spoke on Optus Sport ahead of the North London derby, with Arsenal hosting Spurs in the Emirates.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are in good form right now. The Gunners are fourth in the Premier League, while Spurs are second.
Tottenham are in much better form than last season, when they limped to eighth place in the table.
Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to impress and, like Spurs, have strengthened their ranks significantly over the summer.
Tottenham don’t appear to be missing Harry Kane too much, with other players appearing on the board.
“I will cause problems for people”
Richarlison, who struggled last season, has been left out of the Premier League this season, recording a goal and an assist against Sheffield United.
The 26-year-old will look to score in back-to-back Premier League games as Tottenham head to Arsenal.
And Wright, speaking to Optus Sport, believes Richarlison has now turned a major turning point.
“Now you’re looking at a team that is very confident and a player in attack who, if he can score ten to twelve goals now, which he can do easily.
Richarlison, now that he has a clear head and everything, they will make sure that people problems,” Wright said.
“He (Richarlison) seems to have put the noise in his head, the manager has given him time to let him in and make him comfortable and now he feels more comfortable than he does.”
Our point of view
Richarlison may have had a difficult first season at Tottenham, but to be honest there haven’t been many players who have impressed in what has been a disappointing season for the club.
With Postecoglou at the helm, Spurs look much stronger and Arsenal will have to be at their best if they are to deprive their bitter rivals of points and bragging rights.
