What Alisson did last night after Liverpool star Luis Diaz scored twice against him

Liverpool stars Alisson Becker and Luis Diaz clashed in World Cup qualifying last night as Colombia beat Brazil 2-1.

It was an emotional match for everyone involved, especially for Diaz, whose father was in attendance at the match after a difficult few weeks for the family.

The Liverpool man made his father proud with an incredible performance.

Brazil suffered their second consecutive defeat last night as Colombia deservedly won 2-1 at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez.

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli scored the opener for Brazil early in the match and everyone expected the South American giants to build on that.

However, Colombia was clearly the better team. They managed 23 shots on goal to Brazil’s 12 last night, which is excellent considering the hosts only had 39 percent possession.

Luis Diaz was the star of the show as his father watched. He was dangerous from start to finish and managed to score twice against his good friend Alisson.

He could easily have scored a hat-trick last night without Liverpool’s number one.

After the match, Alisson and Diaz shared a beautiful moment. The goalkeeper approached the Colombian and gave him a long hug. The two men then exchanged a few words before separating.

Luis Diaz was excellent against Brazil

Colombia were definitely underdogs last night, but the way they played deserves huge credit.
Luis Diaz in particular was great.

The Liverpool winger has been through a lot in recent weeks. He suffered, but seeing his father back in the stadium and scoring a brace against Brazil is simply fantastic.

Diaz was the best player on the pitch last night and it was nice to see Alisson show him some love at the end, despite him finishing on the losing side.
