It has long been suspected, but official documents have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is actually the highest paid manager in the Premier League.
Since taking over in 2001, Levy has been the longest-serving player in English football’s top flight. However, his role has not always been a source of positivity.
Although his business acumen has undoubtedly helped Spurs become a commercial giant, Levy and the ENIC Group have received widespread criticism for the way they have handled managerial appointments and player recruitment.
Protests broke out during the 2022/23 season, urging Levy and the club’s owners to sell the club and move on.
Certainly, the problems on the pitch last year didn’t help matters, and since Ange Postecoglou took over this summer, things seem to be much more positive.
It has previously been suggested that Levy was handsomely paid for his troubles. The Daily Mail revealed he was paid £3.26 million last season.
Football Insider had reported that Levy is likely to remain the main earner of all Premier League presidents this year.
A new report from Football Insider has confirmed that this is the case. Reportedly, Levy’s salary is said to be £3.3million per year, a figure “comparable to many of the club’s first team players”.
Brighton’s Paul Barber is closest to Levy’s salary, earning £2.9 million a year.
Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano’s salary is not known as City are the only club to not provide details, but he is believed to have a high salary.

Despite all the problems the club faced last year, Levy’s revenues are unlikely to decline, right? He makes a lot of money, and always will.
And whatever we think of his footballing decisions, he has made Spurs an incredible success financially.
