Livrpoole coach Jurgen Klopp affirmed that he was very impressed with Dominik Szoboszlai before today’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Reds fans have a new hero in town and his name is Szoboszlai. The Hungarian is being dubbed by some as the ‘new Steven Gerrard’ after his excellent start to the season, and Klopp is delighted with him too.
Liverpool signed Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig this summer for £60m (Sky Sports).
The Hungarian was a solid player in Germany for Leipzig, but there are concerns over whether he will succeed under Klopp in England.
Szoboszlai sent those worries into the net like one of his stunners. He has been fantastic for Liverpool so far and everyone is impressed with his performances.
Jurgen Klopp was asked about him in yesterday’s press conference, and the German admitted he was also impressed.
He said, as per LiverpoolFC.com:
“I am impressed as well. It’s clear. I didn’t know him, I knew him as a footballer, but not as a person before. The boy is impressive, is really smart, is really nice, a really good lad, is close with everybody.
“You have these people who come into the room and click with everybody, he has that, charisma, [or] however you want to call it. That’s for sure, he was in the team straight away, and he’s happy to be here, it’s great to see again. [It was] really cool to see how much it meant to him and that’s it.
“If that’s your mood, then obviously it’s a good situation to play your best football. That’s what he’s been doing all along, he’s a naturally strong boy, good at endurance, he learned that very quickly and everything else we learned step by step.” together.
“He never played in the position he played for us in that way, he even played for us [in] double-sixes, which he certainly never played, but we I learned together how it could work. That’s it. Just like the other guys, but it was really fun to work with [him].
Experts like Jamie Carragher have talked a lot about what James Maddison will do against Liverpool in today’s match.
Yes, the Englishman is a fantastic player who could certainly cause the Red Devils some problems, but Liverpool have a star of their own in Szoboszlai, and he has proven that he is capable of The ability to do amazing things.
Ryan Gravenberch said this week that he was really surprised by the power of the Hungarian player’s shots. He scored two great goals for the Red Devils.
If Tottenham give Szoboszlai space in and around the box, we are sure he will have a chance and will most likely score.
