Harry Kane has made a promising debut at his new club Bayern Munich.
Harry Kane says he feels a “different pressure” to win every game at Bayern Munich than at Tottenham, where failing to win a few games is “not a disaster”.
The England captain left boyhood club Spurs last month to move to Germany in a bid to help Bayern win their 12th consecutive Bundesliga title and the first major honor of his career.
Bayern have won their first three league matches, with Kane scoring three goals and providing one assist – and he believes there are greater expectations at his new club.
“It’s a different pressure to Spurs. Of course we wanted to win, but if you went a few games without a win it wasn’t a disaster.
The feeling at Bayern is that you have to win every game,” he said before England’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine in Wroclaw on Saturday.
“It’s part of working at one of the biggest clubs in the world. I like feeling those different emotions and that’s one of the reasons I wanted to go.”

“When we come back, we start the Champions League campaign, which they expect to win. So you come to those games with maybe a different feeling than I’ve had in the past.”
But will the pressure make him an even better player? “I think so. There will definitely be a lot of pressure. Time will tell, but for now I’m enjoying that feeling,” he said.
With this season’s Champions League final taking place at Wembley and the Euro 2024 final taking place in Germany, Kane can still collect silverware from houses old and new, having already won several of his England teammates, the The game’s biggest prizes have seen him win, which he admits he has. “They told me about the Champions League final at Wembley. I know that the European Championships will take place in Germany next summer. “So if there is someone writing a movie, I will do my best to direct it!” he said.
“It’s tough. There’s still so much time left that I don’t want to think about it too much, but if it happened it would be amazing.
“As a competitor, when the guys are playing the Champions League and I’m just sitting at home watching, I’d be lying if I said no part of me hurts.”
“Of course I want them to succeed, but part of me wants to have these experiences.” I’m not sure if jealous is the right word, but now that other players on the team have done it, it motivates me to keep going and try to push myself towards some of the trophies the guys have gotten.”

England manager Gareth Southgate suggested last week that winning trophies under Kane would be a good thing for the national team, something the striker agreed with.
“I think so,” he added. “Of course I can’t hide the fact that this is the only thing missing from my career at the moment and when you have players in your team who have won something, you want to be part of it too and have
those experiences too.
Hopefully just the experiences of title runs, cup runs and hopefully a Champions League run will just help deal with the pressure in certain situations.
If we want to win something with England, we will have to address this problem. Me, as captain, I want to put myself in this position as much as possible.
“Whether I win or not, the decision (to join Bayern) came down to putting myself in these situations. With Bayern Munich, sometimes we expect them to win because they have won it over the Last 11 years.

“In my short time there is still a lot of pressure to win these trophies. We haven’t won the Cup for a few years and we haven’t won the Champions League for a few years so there is certainly a lot to to win and you a lot of pressure to take.
“Time will tell, but right now I’m enjoying that feeling and for the rest of the year it’s a good competition to have.”
