Breaking news; SKILLET ruled out ‘Revolution’ Album…

SKILLET has announced their first independent album, *Revolution*, set for release on November 1, 2024, under their Hear It Loud imprint. This marks a significant shift for the Christian rock band, who spent 20 years with Atlantic Records before deciding to go independent. Their new approach has allowed them greater creative freedom, reflected in the album’s content and the rapid production process.

The first single, “Unpopular,” has already premiered and is available across major streaming platforms. The song’s powerful guitar riffs and confident lyrics address societal pressures and the feeling of not fitting in, a theme central to the band’s message. Lead singer John Cooper emphasizes the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs, even when it’s unpopular, advocating for a “revolution of love and understanding” amidst societal division.

SKILLET’s new album was created in various locations, including Milwaukee, Canada, and Nashville, and features collaborations with long-time producers Brian Howes and Seth Mosley, as well as Korey Cooper and YOUTHYEAR/Carlo Colasacco. The album includes a mix of arena-ready anthems and nostalgic tracks that harken back to the band’s earlier sound.

In support of Revolution, SKILLET will embark on a U.S. tour with Seether this fall, followed by their first-ever tour of the Middle East in November. They will also perform in the U.K. alongside Black Stone Cherry (Jesus Freak Hideout) (Mauce).
