Michael Jordan might be upset with Steve Kerr over his comment about LeBron James. Kendrick Perkins, however, ended the LeBron James debate with a blunt remark that probably won’t sit well with Jordan.
Team USA clinched another gold medal by defeating France 98-87 in the men’s basketball final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This win adds to the American team’s remarkable tally of seventeen gold medals.
After the victory, LeBron James had an unpleasant encounter with a young fan that stirred up some controversy on social media. As he exited a car, wearing his gold medal, and accompanied by his bodyguard, he headed toward a restaurant where the team’s celebration was taking place.
A young fan approached him for a photo, but LeBron declined the request curtly, gesturing with his hand as he continued walking. Upon reaching the venue, he paused at the entrance to perform a brief dance and embrace his friends and teammates who were waiting to celebrate with him.
People now have a clearer understanding of the situation
Although LeBron faced criticism for his behavior, it turns out his refusal to the fan might have been justified. A key detail in the video reveals that the boy was repeatedly using a racial slur in the background. Given this, LeBron’s reaction is more understandable.
Throughout his career, LeBron has participated in numerous Olympic Games, winning gold medals in Beijing 2008, London 2012, and now Paris, further cementing his status as a global sports icon. He left Paris with both a gold medal and the MVP trophy.
