Scott McTominay: Manchester United midfielder subject of £20m transfer….

Manchester United has received a second bid from Fulham for midfielder Scott McTominay, reportedly valued at £20 million. It is expected that United will reject the offer, but McTominay’s future remains uncertain, especially after West Ham’s attempt to sign him last summer.

United is currently seeking funds to acquire new players, and the situation is exacerbated by injuries to defender Leny Yoro, who is sidelined for three months, and striker Rasmus Hojlund.

McTominay, now entering the prime years of his career, desires regular first-team play. Despite making 32 Premier League appearances last season, 14 of these were as a substitute, although he did start in the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

In a recent pre-season match against Real Betis in San Diego, McTominay played in the number 10 role. However, with Bruno Fernandes yet to rejoin training after Euro 2024, Mason Mount aiming to stay fit, and Casemiro remaining at the club despite speculation of a move to the Saudi Pro-League, a deal for McTominay could still be in the cards.
