Northern B.C. Athlete Prepares to Tackle 144 km Ultra-Marathon to Support Cancer
**PRINCE RUPERT** – Following his father’s battle with cancer and eventual passing, Noah Allison, a 27-year-old from Prince Rupert, is set to embark on a grueling 144 km ultra-marathon to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
Noah’s journey will begin on the rugged trails of Northern British Columbia, where he aims to complete the ultra-marathon in under 24 hours. Inspired by his father’s courage and resilience, Noah has spent months training rigorously for this challenge, combining long-distance runs with strength and endurance workouts.
“Running has always been a way for me to process emotions and cope with difficult times,” Noah shared. “This ultra-marathon is my way of honoring my father’s memory and contributing to a cause that affects so many families.”
The event has garnered significant local support, with community members and businesses rallying behind Noah’s cause. Donations are being collected through a dedicated crowdfunding page, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
“We’re incredibly proud of Noah and his dedication to this cause,” said Sarah Thompson, a representative from the Canadian Cancer Society. “His commitment to raising awareness and funds for cancer research is truly inspiring.”
The ultra-marathon is scheduled to take place on August 15, with supporters encouraged to join Noah for portions of the run or cheer him on along the route. Local media will provide live updates, and a celebratory event is planned at the finish line to honor Noah’s achievement and commemorate his father’s legacy.
Noah’s story has already touched many hearts, and his determination to make a difference continues to inspire others to contribute to the fight against cancer.
