Conor Bradley, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago – Liverpool injury news and return dates for Everton

Liverpool maintained their place in the Premier League title race with a victory over Fulham on Sunday.

The Reds claimed a 3-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage to move up to second place in the league table. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota scored the goals that saw Liverpool return to winning ways after going two top-flight matches without a victory.

Jurgen Klopp will not have much time to celebrate as the Reds prepare to face Everton on Wednesday night in the Merseyside derby. Liverpool are currently level on points with leaders Arsenal who face Chelsea on Tuesday night, while Manchester City are one point behind in third with a game in hand and face Brighton on Thursday.

Liverpool were without several important players for their trip to Fulham on Sunday due to injury. The ECHO takes a look at the current injury list for the Reds ahead of the Merseyside derby this week.

Conor Bradley

Conor Bradley has missed Liverpool’s last two matches with an ankle injury he sustained against Crystal Palace on April 14.

Klopp explained last week that he would hope to have Bradley return to team training in early May following the right-back’s spell in recovery. As a result, Liverpool will have confidence that Bradley will feature again before the end of the season.

Potential return date: May.

Joel Matip

Joel Matip has been recovering from an ACL injury he sustained back in December in the 4-3 win over Fulham at Anfield.

The centre-back is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season as he recovers from the injury. With Matip’s contract set to expire at the end of the campaign, it remains to be seen if he will feature again for Liverpool.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Stefan Bajcetic

Stefan Bajcetic is gradually nearing a return to action for Liverpool following a recovery from injury.

Bajcetic featured for the Reds Under-21s last week with a 30-minute cameo and is edging closer to featuring for the first team. Klopp will hope to be able to call on the midfielder once again before the end of the season.

Potential return date: May.

Thiago Alcantara
Thiago Alcantara has made just one appearance for Liverpool this season which came in a five-minute cameo against Arsenal in February.

The midfielder has since been recovering from a hamstring injury and is yet to return to the matchday squad. It remains to be seen if Thiago will feature for the Reds once again with his contract set to expire this summer.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Ben Doak
Ben Doak has been recovering from a knee injury he sustained during an appearance for Liverpool’s Under-21s in December.

No timeframe has been given for when Liverpool expect Doak to return to full fitness. As a result, it remains to be seen if the 18-year-old will feature again this season.

Potential return date: Unknown.
