Cowboys QB Comparison: Who’s Better? Dak vs. Rome

Dallas Cowboys get Dak2 for four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Prescott. paid as intended? Romo has often been criticized for his inability to bring the Cowboys franchise back to the glory days of the 1990s.

Prescott hasn’t won a Super Bowl in his tenure, so let’s compare them to Dallas so far.

With that, Prescott’s career in the track got off to a bright start. He won Rookie of the Year his season, finished sixth in MVP voting and was a Pro Bowler.

He later made the Pro Bowl twice in seven seasons. Last year, Prescott had arguably the best season of his career from a statistical standpoint.

He was named a second-team All-Pro for the first time in his career as he threw for more than 4,500 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions, had a 105.9 passer rating in the regular season and finished No. 2 in MVP voting.

The American quarterback continues to be criticized. Romo, on the other hand, has never finished in the top two in MVP voting, and as an individual performer, Prescott has probably passed him comparing the first eight seasons since he started.

According to the Cowboys’ 17-game statistics, Prescott would have averaged 30 touchdowns to 11 catches, 4,393 passing yards on the season, 67 completion percentage and a passer rating of 99.

As for Rome, he would have averaged 31 touchdowns to 15. catches, 4,409 passing yards on the season , a 64.6 completion percentage and a pitcher rating of 95.8.

However, what matters most when comparing Dallas signal callers is team success. Romo’s record was 63-45, while Prescott’s era in Dallas was 73-41, reaching the playoffs five times, while Romo only made the playoffs three times in his first eight seasons.

Dak has been a great Cowboy, and even though he hasn’t been to a Super Bowl so far in his career, it’s hard to think of another option that could realistically improve Dallas more than the reigning MVP runner-up has already grown.
