Here’s a sketch in my notebook as the Browns prepare to play the Jets Thursday night.
One. Browns fans are Wacko For Flacco and that makes sense. I’m in the same club.
This is one of the funniest Browns stories for me (and the fans) in a long time. This is a neutral story. It is a story that says, “All seemed lost, but now we will win.”
This is a story for anyone who has ever been fired or ignored. He was then given one last chance to prove his critics wrong.

Among players over 38, only Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Warren Moon have thrown for 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in four games under Flacco.
All four are Hall of Famers (except Flacco). Neither of them were on the midseason roster (Flacco was).
But Cleveland’s quarterback continues to make history. Flacco continues to look for Amari Cooper, who broke Brown’s franchise receiving record on Sunday, behind an opposing secondary.
He continued to push David Njoku through the congested red zone near the window.
The Browns continue to win without a functioning running game, the league’s highest-paid quarterback or an offensive game. That’s thanks to the quarterback they never knew they needed.
The Browns could still technically win the AFC North or get a first-round bye. And if the offense continues, they could at least make the playoffs.
Can Flacco keep this up? It is a logical question. But as Cleveland (and its quarterback) proved last month, there’s no room for logic in Flacco’s dramatic comeback story.It’s absurd that a 16-year NFL veteran can split a 51-yard rush between three defenders.
Additionally, Cleveland’s fourth starting quarterback this season shouldn’t open up Cooper and Njoku’s top options.
If logic rules Cleveland Browns Stadium, no Baltimore Ravens legend can open the hearts of these fans. As Cleveland prepares to party this week, check out Flacco’s role in planning the party. Be thankful the Browns saved him from retirement.
