Alexis McAllister: Best goal of my life:

It was the best goal of my lifeAlexis McAllister said his first goal for Liverpool was the best of his career as Manchester United beat Fulham 4-3 in the Premier League on Sunday.

The midfielder’s superb 27-yard strike put Anfield ahead at half-time, but Jurgen Klopp’s side needed second-half goals from Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold to secure an epic victory.

Afterwards, a smiling McAllister spoke to Liverpoolfc.com about his first success with the Reds.

“We had a good game against Leicester (for Brighton) but it wasn’t allowed,” he said.

“That’s why I think it’s the biggest goal of my life.”

Not a bad career for a Liverpool goalscorer!”He continued:

“The moment I hit the ball I knew it was going to be a goal. It was a very good goal, but as I always say, when I play with the number 6, I don’t worry too much about goals or assists.

There are other things to do, but it’s always good to score. !

“Liverpool twice took a first-half lead against Marco Silva’s visitors but looked set to lose when substitute Bobby de Córdoba-Reid put the Cottagers ahead in the 80th minute.

But second-half substitute Endo equalized with a stunning goal three minutes later, before Alexander-Arnold rounded off the scores with a fine finish less than two minutes later.

“I think endo has changed the game,” McAllister said. “Partly because of his goals, but also because he helped the team find the right balance. “

Maybe when Jurgen took me, the team was very aggressive and needed a player like Endo.

“I am very happy for him. “She’s a very good person and she deserves it,” he said.

McAllister was equally amused by Alexander-Arnold, who helped him score the winner and set up the first goal with a superb free-kick past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

“He makes things so easy!” he said “He hits the ball with ease, it shows in all the goals he scores.

“He is a very important player for us, for the club and for the fans and we are very happy to have him.”

A win over Fulham means Liverpool can begin their full December schedule with testing trips to Sheffield United and Crystal Palace this week.

“We know that December and January are two very important months to see where we are,” added McAllister.

“We want to fight, we want to win every game and we will try.”
