Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (4) attempts to throw the ball during an NFL football game against the Arizona Cardinals, Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, in Cleveland.
An important division game is scheduled for Sunday with the Cleveland Browns looking to overcome the Baltimore Ravens.
The Browns-Ravens rivalry dates back to when football returned to Cleveland 24 years ago.
While there were some memorable matchups, it had been a while since the two teams faced off in the middle of a division title race.
Baltimore is 36-13 overall against Cleveland, including a 28-3 win at Northeast Ohio in Week 4. The teams split the final two series of the season.
The Ravens have the upper hand on Sunday and occupy first place in the AFC North.
After some offensive inconsistencies at the start of the season, Lamar Jackson and Co. have gained momentum in recent weeks.
They have scored 30+ points in each of their last three games, holding both the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks to single digits. In a 37-3 win over the Seahawks last Sunday, Baltimore racked up 515 yards, including nearly 300 on the ground.
Keaton Mitchell ran for 138 yards and a score in the win, while Jackson collected 247 yards of total offense.
While their quarterback situation has been interesting (as usual), the Browns find themselves within striking distance of the playoffs.
After the loss to the Ravens, Cleveland has won three of its last four games, including a victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
They put together one of their best overall performances last Sunday, shutting out the Arizona Cardinals.
The Browns, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals, are second in the North, 1.5 games behind Baltimore.
