Patriots Robert Kraft ‘Disappointed:’ Bill Belichick Contract Details? NFL Tracker

Amid a mountain of this week’s speculation that after 24 years, six-time Super Bowl-winning Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s tenure in New England is nearing its end comes a new thought courtesy of long-time NFL and Dallas Cowboys insider Mike Fisher.

In a piece entitled, “NFL Rumor: Fired Bill Belichick to Be Hired by Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones? 5 Truths,” Fisher writes: “Here’s a rumor to pile on: We do hear that Belichick wouldn’t mind breaking up his partnership with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, but that he very specifically does not want to be traded, because that would strip his new team of draft picks.

“So the coach, if he’s going to leave New England, would actually prefer to get canned.”

This makes more sense than the “Belichick trade” rumor, for obvious reasons. So now we watch – continuing today in Germany as the 2-7 Patriots play the Colts and try to change their status as the AFC’s worst team.

The New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Thursday.

The Pats and Colts are set for a 9:30 a.m ET kickoff for their Week 10 matchup from Frankfurt Stadium in Germany on Sunday morning.

New England had already ruled out starting left tackle Trent Brown, cornerback J.C. Jackson and receiver DeVante Parker, after the trio of Pats failed to make the trip to Frankfurt.

The Pats had two notable additions to their report, with team captain Matthew Slater with an ankle injury and cornerback Jack Jones with a knee ailment. Both players were limited participants during Friday’s practice in Germany and are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Conversely, the Colts have officially ruled out cornerback JuJu Brents and tight end Drew Ogletree, with nether player making the trip overseas. Rookie wide receiver Josh Downs, who has bene one of the team’s most reliable offensive weapons, is questionable with a knee injury.

New England has ruled out starting left tackle Trent Brown, cornerback J.C. Jackson and receiver DeVante Parker, meaning they will not be traveling with the team to Germany. Brown had returned to the practice field after missing Wednesday’s session. However, his progress was not deemed suitable enough to warrant his travel to Frankfurt.

While cornerback J.C. Jackson has essentially been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup due to a team decision unrelated to injury, starting left tackle Trent Brown was also absent from the practice field for both a personal reason, as well as nursing an ankle injury.

Receiver DeVante Parker, who missed last Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders while receiving from a concussion, was present on Wednesday wearing a non-contact jersey.

The New England Patriots and the Washington Commanders have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Friday, along with their projected status for Week 9.

Starting left tackle Trent Brown, who missed the past two days due to both ankle and knee ailments, was present for the media-access portion of Friday’s practice. Brown is officially listed as questionable. Receiver DeVante Parker (concussion,) who was present for the start of the session, has been ruled out.

Reserve offensive lineman Calvin Anderson (illness) was the lone absence from practice and has also been ruled out due to an illness.

Second-year receiver Tyquan Thornton was listed for the first time this week with a foot injury. With Parker having bene ruled out, as well as Kendrick Bourne on season-ending injured reserve, Thornton was expected to step up into a prominent role within the Patriots corps of pass catchers.

If he is unable to suit up, the Pats currently have Demario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Jalen Reagor, JuJu Smith-Schuster and hybrid rusher/receiver Ty Montgomery on their depth chart.

Conversely, Washington enters this game with only three players listed with an injury designation, including receiver Curtis Samuel, who was ruled out with a toe injury.

The Pats and Commanders are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 9 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The New England Patriots welcomed back a handful of key contributors to the practice fields adjacent to Gillette Stadium on Friday.

Starting left tackle Trent Brown, who missed the past two days due to both ankle and knee ailments, was present for the media-access portion of Friday’s practice. Receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) and defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (illness) were also spotted on the field. Reserve offensive lineman Calvin Anderson (illness) was the lone absence.

While their respective official participation status will not be revealed until Friday’s injured report is issued, the trio of Pats being present on the field provides at least some hope that they may be able to suit up for New England’s Week 9 matchup with the Washington Commanders on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Foxboro.

New England and Washington will release their final injury and practice participation reports on Friday evening at approximately 4 p.m. ET.

Receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), offensive tackle Trent Brown (ankle/knee), defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (illness) and reserve offensive lineman Calvin Anderson (illness) were all absent from the session.

On the good news front, Pats tight end Pharaoh Brown returned to the team’s second session of the week after sitting out out Wednesday’s practice with a back injury,

The Pats and Commanders are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 9 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The New England Patriots welcomed back a key component of their offense to the practice fields adjacent to Gillette Stadium on Thursday.

Pats tight end Pharaoh Brown returned to the team’s second session of the week as they prepare for a Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders in Foxboro on Sunday.

Brown, who sat out Wednesday’s practice with a back injury, has made quite the impact on New England’s passing game this season.

The veteran tight end has compiled 170 yards on seven catches with one touchdown, while averaging 24.3 yards-per-reception.

While his official participation status will not be revealed until Thursday’s injured report is issued, Brown’s presence on the field is a positive sign for New England.

Lastly, newly-signed cornerback Alex Austin was spotted during the media portion of the practice, wearing No. 28, formerly worn by rookie Ameer Speed — who was waived by the Pats last month before being claimed by the Indianapolis Colts.

Four Patriots were absent from Wednesday’s session, including receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), starting left tackle Trent Brown (leg), reserve offensive lineman Calvin Anderson (illness.)

Linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, who left last Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury, was present but appeared to be a significantly limited participant, s indicated in the report.

Tight end Pharaoh Brown, who has become one of the Pats most productive and reliable targets on offense, was also absent with a back injury.

With the trade deadline now behind them, the New England Patriots returned to the practice fields to prepare for their Week 9 matchup with the Washington Commanders Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

With receiver Kendrick Bourne having officially been placed on season-ending injured reserve, all eyes were on some members of the Patriots who continue to deal with lingering injuries.

Among those absent from Wednesday’s session, receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), starting left tackle Trent Brown (leg), reserve offenisve lineman Calvin Anderson (illness.) Linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, who left last Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury, was present but appeared to be a significantly limited participant.

Tight end Pharaoh Brown, who has become one of the Pats most productive and reliable targets on offense, was also absent. Brown has not been listed on any of New England’s recent injury lists, thus making the reason for his absence unknown at this time.

New England and Washington will release their first injury and practice participation reports on Wednesday evening at approximately 4 p.m.

The New England Patriots will be without the services of their top receiver for the remainder of the season.

Bourne, per a Monday morning report from NFL Network, suffered a torn ACL in New England’s 31-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Pats veteran receiver suffered the injury on the first play of the fourth quarter while attempting to secure a third-and-9 catch at the Pats 16-yard-line. After spending some time in the Patriots’ sideline medical tent, he was taken to the locker room.

Bourne has been the Patriots’ top receiver this season with 37 catches for 406 yards and four touchdowns. He caught three passes for 36 yards with a touchdown before departing Sunday’s game.

In spite of his productivity, Bourne has been entrenched in trade rumors, given both his value and the fact that he is playing in the final year of the three-year contract which he signed with New England in 2021.

The New England Patriots have downgraded both receivers DeVante Parker and Kendrick Bourne to “out” for the remainder of their Week 8 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

Parker suffered a head injury after a late third-quarter helmet-to-helmet hit from Dolphins defender DeShon Elliott.

After sustaining the hit, which was incredulously not flagged for a penalty, Parker was assisted to the locker room and entered into concussion protocol.

Bourne incurred a knee injury while attempting to make a sideline catch on third-and-9 from the New England 16-yard line.

New England Patriots linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley has been ruled out for the remainder of the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury.

Bentley has been one of the defensive cornerstones for New England this season, acting not only as a defensive team captain, but also the signal-caller and play communicator.

The veteran linebacker has earned 49 total tackles for the defense, and is fresh off a nine-tackle performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7. Bentley had six tackles at the time of his exit on Sunday.

In his absence, linebacker Mack Wilson, Sr will see the majority of the snaps in the middle.

New England currently trails Miami 24-10 with 7:35 remaining in the third quarter.

The New England Patriots will be without the services of two starting-caliber players when they take the field at Hard Rock Stadium against the Miami Dolphins for their Week 8 matchup on Sunday.

The Patriots have downgraded linebacker Josh Uche (ankle/toe) and offensive lineman Vederian Lowe (ankle), as neither traveled to Miami with the team on Saturday.

Uche emerged as one of New England’s top pass rushers in 2022, logging 11.5 sacks.

However, he has yet to recapture his previous season’s success, compiling just five tackles and two sacks in six games. Uche was forced to sit out New England’s Week 7 win over the Buffalo Bills due to a foot injury.

Still, the Michigan product offers much in terms of athleticism and raw skill. In fact, Uche has been heavily rumored to be a prime trade candidate, as Tuesday’s Oct. 31 deadline approaches.

It remains unclear whether Uche’s downgrade is related to a specific trade rumor. However, his status will be one to monitor over the next few days.

Lowe was acquired via trade with the Minnesota Vikings in August, in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick. He has appeared in six games for the Pats, taking the majority of his 318 snaps on offense at right tackle.

Lowe had been a starter for New England, but was replaced by Michael Onwenu last week against Buffalo.

The New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Friday, along with their projected status for Week 8.

The Patriots enjoyed perfect attendance for Friday’s practice session, their last before traveling to Miami Gardens on Saturday.

Offensive tackle Calvin Anderson continues to deal with an undisclosed illness which once again kept him from the field. As a result, he is out for Sunday’s game.

Hybrid receiver/rusher Ty Montgomery returned to the field on Friday, after missing Thursday’s session due to a personal issue.

The Pats and Dolphins are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 8 matchup from Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

– The New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Thursday.

After missing the Pats Week 7 victory over the Buffalo Bills, rookie defensive end Keion White was spotted on the field for the first time this week. White has been in concussion protocol since suffering a head injury in New Englanld’s Week 6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Veteran offensive tackle Calvin Anderson and hybrid rusher/receiver Ty Montgomery were the only two players absent from Wednesday’s session.

Lastly, Dolphins’ receiver Tyreek Hill was present for Thursday’s practice after having missed the previous day with a hip injury.

Hill’s ailment was revealed to be a soft tissue injury earlier in the day. As such, he has proclaimed himself “ready” for action on Sunday.

The Pats and Dolphins are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 8 matchup from Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Wednesday.

The Pats and Dolphins are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 8 matchup from Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

New England enjoyed nearly perfect attendance for their first session heading into this weekend’s contest in Miami Gardens. Only rookie defensive end Keion White was absent, as he remains in concussion protocol.

However, several key members of their roster were limited, including starting left tackle Trent Brown who left last Sunday’s win over the Bills with a knee injury.

In the meantime, the Dolphins may possibly be bracing for the absence of star wideout Tyreek Hill, who missed Wedneady’s practice with what is being billed as a significant hip injury.

The Patriots produced some good news on the field last weekend with an upset of the Bills, but more bad news continues outside the lines as news broke today that All-Pro kick-returner Marcus Jones won’t return this season.

Jones, one of the team’s few playmakers and a triple-threat on defense, offense and special teams, suffered a shoulder injury in the Week 2 loss to the Dolphins.

Receivers coach Troy Brown accidentally revealed the news when speaking to the media about the progress of rookie Demario Douglas as the team’s punt returner.

The Patriots have now lost leading pass rusher Matthew Judon, star rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez and Jones to season-ending injuries.

The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Friday, along with their projected status for Week 7.

New England will once again be without the services of offensive tackle Riley Reiff, who is set to miss his second straight game with a knee injury. Rookie defensive end Keion White has been in concussion protocol since suffering a hot to the head in New England’s 21-17 loss to the Raiders in Week 6. As such, his status for Sunday comes as little surprise.

Linebacker Josh Uche has been absent from practice all week due to a lingering foot injury, which forced him from last Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.

With situational pass rushing expected to play a key role in helping to contain Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen, the loss of both Uche and White — in addition to linebacker Matthew Judon already being on injured reserve — will make the Pats’ defensive gameplan much more difficult to execute.

The Pats and Bills are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday afternoon from Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Thursday.

The Pats and Bills are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 7 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After missing Wednesday’s practice, tight end Hunter Henry (ankle), left tackle Trent Brown (chest) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle) returned to the practice field.

However, Henry did not participate in the session.  While it is a bit early to determine their respective status for Sunday’s game, both Brown’s and Jones’ presence on the field instills some hope that they might be ready to suit up against Buffalo.

Unfortunately, the reverse appears to be true for tackle Riley Reiff (knee), Keion White (concussion) and Josh Uche (foot), who were missing in action for the second straight session.

Though the prognosis for either Reiff or Uche is presently unknown, White remains in concussion protocol after sustaining a hit to the head in the first quarter of New England’s loss to the Raiders last Sunday. As such, he is an apparent long-shot to play in Week 7.

The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Wednesday.

The Pats and Bills are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 7 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Despite welcoming back receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas from concussion protocol — as well as activating cornerback Jack Jones from injured reserve on Tuesday — New England continues to have its share of injury problems, Tight end Hunter Henry (ankle), linebacker Josh Uche (foot), cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle), offensive tackle Trent Brown (chest), offensive lineman Riley Reiff (knee) and defensive end Keion White (concussion) were absent for Wednesday’s session.

The New England Patriots might be on the verge of adding a pair of pass-catching playmakers back into their offense in advance of a Week 7 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

Just one day [Tuesday] after rookie Demario Douglas returned to the practice field after a brief stay in concussion protocol, veteran receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was spotted during the media portion of Wednesday’s session.

Both Smith-Schuster and Douglas suffered head injuries during New England’s Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Smith Schuster logged three catches for only six yards before leaving the game in the second half.

Douglas delivered the game’s only offensive highlight with an impressive a 24-yard reception on a Mac Jones pass with 5:40 remaining in the first quarter, while also sustaining a hit to the head on the play.

As a result, each player was forced to miss the Patriots’ Week 6 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders — a game which the team lost 21-17.

Despite welcoming back, the duo of receivers — as well as activating cornerback Jack Jones from injured reserve on Tuesday — New England continues to have its share of injury problems, Tight end Hunter Henry (ankle), linebacker Josh Uche (foot), cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle), offensive tackle Trent Brown (undisclosed) and defensive end Keion White (concussion) were absent for Wednesday’s session.

Both the Patriots and Bills will furnish their first injury and practice participation on Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m. ET. The teams will kick off their Week 7 matchup at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The New England Patriots may be close to getting some much-needed reinforcement to their injury-plagued cornerback room.

Second-year cornerback Jack Jones, who had been sidelined for the Pats first six games due to a hamstring injury, was spotted on the practice field on Tuesday morning. As a result, Jones’ 21-day window to return from injured reserve has been activated.

In addition to his injury troubles, the 25-year-old also found himself embroiled in legal difficulty following his June arrest for attempting to board an aircraft with two loaded firearms.

Despite facing several weapons charges, the Suffolk, Mass. county district attorney agreed to drop the charges in exchange for Jones agreeing to probation and community service.

Still, Jones’ presence is welcomed news for a unit already missing rookie Christian Gonzalez fellow second-year corner Marcus Jones to shoulder injuries.

During his rookie campaign, Jones caught the eye of many Patriots fans with his high-octane style of play. Though slightly undersized for the position, at 5-11, 175 pounds, he became an aggressive presence on the perimeter.

In 13 games [454 defensive snaps] as a rookie, Jones compiled 30 tackles, six passes-defensed, one forced fumble, one recovery and two interceptions, including one for a touchdown return. Throughout training camp, he aligned with the starting defense on numerous occasions.

While Jones’ impending return remains a positive for the Patriots, the following eight players were absent from Tuesday’s session: Rhamondre Stevenson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Hunter Henry, Trent Brown, Josh Uche, Keion White, Davon Godchaux and Jonathan Jones.

New England will furnish its first injury and practice participation report, in preparation for Sunday’s Week 7 matchup with the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium, on Wednesday evening.

The New England Patriots are already thin along their defensive front. Unfortunately, they may be a bit thinner for the remainder of their Week 6 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

After attempting to make a first-down tackle of Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, Patriots rookie defensive end/linebacker Keion White was hit in the helmet.

He was briefly evaluated in the blue medical tent before returning to the locker room for further evaluation. He is officially questionable to return.

The Pats are already feeling losses in their pass rush with star linebacker Matthew Judon on injured reserve due to suffering a torn biceps tendon in Week 4. New England is also without star rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

The New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Friday, along with their projected status for Week 6.

The Pats and Raiders are set for a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday afternoon from Allegiant Stadium.

Having missed the entire week of practice while in concussion protocol, receivers Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster have unsurprisingly been ruled out for Week 6.

Second-year receiver Tyquan Thornton, who was designated to return from a stint on injured reserve earlier this week, is listed as ‘questionable’ to make his season-debut due to a shoulder injury.

New England’s offensive line continues to feel the injury effects, as starting guard Cole Strange (knee) and tackle Riley Reiff (knee) will be sidelined on Sunday. Starting tackle Trent Brown (chest) and guard Michael Onwenu (ankle) are also listed as questionable.

The New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Thursday.

The Pats and Raiders are set for an 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 6 matchup from Allegiant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

On their penultimate day of practice before departing for the Nevada desert, the Patriots enjoyed what may best be described as a high-energy, positive practice.

While the outlook on receivers Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster remains bleak — as each remain in concussion protocol — safety Kyle Dugger (foot) was the lone new addition to what has become a lengthy report for New England.

The New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Wednesday.

The Pats and Raiders are set for an 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 6 matchup from Allegiant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After exiting New England’s Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints with an ankle injury, starting right tackle Michael Onwenu was back at practice.

A Patriots Country source has confirmed that Onwenu’s removal from the game was “more precautionary, than necessary.” As such, his playing status for Week 6 is not in doubt at this time.

After being designated to return due to his return to the field for Tuesday’s walkthrough, receiver Tyquan Thornton once again practiced with his teammates, fueling speculation that the second-year speedster may suit up for Sunday’s matchup with the Raiders. Both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas remained absent due to their respective placements in concussion protocol.

The news continues to go from bad to worse for the New England Patriots.

Already feeling the effects of the losses of cornerback Christian Gonzalez and linebacker Matthew Judon, the Pats must do without the services of a trio of offensive standouts for at least the remainder of their Week 5 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

Rookie receiver Demario Douglas (head), veteran slot pass catcher JuJu Smith-Schuster (head) and offensive lineman Michael Onwenu (ankle) have all been ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game.

In the meantime, New England continues to fall deeper into despair, as they face a 24-0 deficit heading into the final minute of the third quarter.

The New England Patriots rash of poor play and bad injury luck continues.

Already facing a 21-0 deficit in their Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5 at Gillette Stadium, they may be facing the rest of the matchup without the services of one of their best playmakers on offense.

Rookie receiver Demario “Pop” Douglas is questionable to return with a head injury. Douglas suffered the injury with 5:40 remaining in the first quarter after securing a 24-yard reception on a Mac Jones pass.

Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore made forearm contact with Douglas’ head on the tackle attempt and was promptly flagged for unnecessary roughness.

The New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Friday, along with their projected status for Week 5.

The Pats and Saints are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

New England enjoyed full attendance for its final team practice before hosting New Orleans on Sunday.

Still, the Pats are not without their share of uncertainty when it comes to the status of some key players — including the addition of left tackle Trent Brown with a chest injury, while Cole Strange (knee) and Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh) remain among those to watch prior to Sunday’s kickoff.

The Pats may be in store for some good news for a courier back group decimated by injury. Veteran corner, Jonathan Jones — who has missed the past three games with an ankle injury — is expected to play, per a Friday morning report from MassLive.

The New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints have announced their player injuries and practice participation for Thursday.

The Pats and Saints are set for an 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 5 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon. This is the second the three reports to be issued by both teams in anticipation of the game.

In addition to listing 10 players as limited participants — including notables such as Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh) and Cole Strange (knee) and Jonathan Jones (ankle) —the team also welcomed back cornerback J.C.

Jackson, whose services New England reacquired via trade with the Los Angeles Chargers. Surprisingly enough, he was not given a designation on Thursday’s report.

Jackson, who missed all but five game with the Chargers last season due to a torn patella tendon, has acknowledged that he has been less than “100 percent” as he worked his way back to full strength.

Yet, he was clearly visible on the practice fields to Thursday’s media contingent.

Jackson’s omission from the report may indicate that he was a full participant. However, it is also important to remember his trade was not officially announce by the team until after the conclusion of Thursday’s practice. As such, it will be worth monitoring whether he is given a designation on Friday.

As the New England Patriots prepare to welcome an old friend back into the Foxboro fold, the health of several Pats players continues to be one the most concerning topics as they look to improve their 1-3 record.

With cornerback Christian Gonzalez (torn shoulder labrum) and linebacker Matthew Judon (torn biceps tendon) headed for injured reserve, the team has agreed to acquire former Patriot J.C. Jackson from the Los Angeles Chargers, while also swapping late-round selections in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Additionally, the team welcomed defensive end Trey Flowers (PUP), safety Cody Davis (PUP) and offensive tackle Riley Reiff (IR) back to practice from their respective stays on the Patriots reserve lists. New England now has 21 days to activate the returnees.

Despite also being eligible to return, wide receiver Tyquan Thornton and cornerback Jack Jones were not present for Wednesday’s practice and remain on IR for the time being.

In the meantime, the Pats have begun their preparations for hosting the New Orleans Saints (2-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m. from Gillette Stadium.
