This week, it’s nearly unanimous, with all but one writer backing the Browns.
This is the Browns’ fifth home game and third game against the NFC West. The Browns come into this game at 4-3 while the Cardinals are struggling at 1-7. The Browns are 10-point favorites at home. The total currently sits at 38 points.
The game will be televised on CBS and kicks off at 1:00 p.m. from Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The Browns lost their last matchup with the Cardinals in Cleveland back in 2021 by a score of 37-14. The last time Cleveland visited Arizona in 2019, it was a Browns’ loss 38-24.
The Browns are simply a better team, playing at home, and aren’t so severely dinged up that they shouldn’t be able to handle the Cardinals. The wild cards here are at quarterback, where Deshaun Watson was announced to be the starter.
One has to assume that he’s in better shape to start than in the Indianapolis game, but probably not 100%, and that Kevin Stefanski has game-planned accordingly. If not, I take no responsibility for this prediction. I’m also assuming that Kyler Murray will play.
He has historically been effective against the Browns and I believe he will move the offense here at times, enough to keep the game relatively close.
