Liverpool is gearing up for its latest Premier League bout, with Nottingham Forest making the trip to Anfield tomorrow. The Reds will have another win in their sights as they look to strengthen their position in the Premier League’s top four.

Jürgen Klopp’s side has made an impressive start to the season so far, with just one defeat in controversial circumstances blotting the copybook as the Reds have emerged as possible title contenders again. It’s certainly a far cry from last season’s disappointment.

Klopp though will know his work on the Liverpool rebuild is far from over, and the next opportunity to add to his squad is fast approaching. Indeed, rumors surrounding the Anfield club are beginning to build up ahead of January.

And those links are clearly being noticed elsewhere, with Bayern Munich breaking its silence on recent rumors regarding one of its most sought-after players, while some of Europe’s biggest clubs are lining up for the latest young defensive talent emerging in France. Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has broken his silence on recent rumors linking Jamal Musiala with Liverpool, insisting he wants the 20-year-old to stay with the Bundesliga champion. The Reds are said to be one of the clubs monitoring Musiala ahead of the January transfer window.

The latest reports (as per Football Insider) suggest that the former Chelsea youth player will push for a move in the New Year if he doesn’t get regular game time in the next few months. Hainer though is adamant the youngster will have a place at Bayern. “If other clubs are looking at Jamal Musiala, that doesn’t surprise us,” he said (via Team Talk).

“He has a contract with us until 2026 and knows what he has at Bayern, he knows that all doors are open to him here. I’d like to have him with us for a very long time.”

There’s clearly a lot of noise surrounding Musiala at the moment, and the fact that Bayern’s president is now being quizzed on his future suggests there might be something to the rumors.

If there is a chance of Musiala leaving Germany due to being unhappy with his chances at the club, hopefully he might take a look at his former teammate Ryan Gravenberch and decide Anfield is the best place for him.

Liverpool is reportedly keen on signing Lille defender Leny Yoro, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. The Reds aren’t the only Premier League side in the hunt though, with Manchester United and Chelsea also said to be interested.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are also reportedly monitoring the 17-year-old, who has emerged as a top talent in France. Yoro is rated at around $19m (£16m/€18m) by Transfermarkt, having started seven of Lille’s nine Ligue 1 games this season.
