Postecoglou is taking a ‘the sky’s the limit’ approach to Spurs’ chances this season, and this week he said his team has as much chance as anyone else.
“Unless there’s something in the rules that says Tottenham can’t do it, I think yes, any team can do it,” Postecoglou said on TalkSPORT when asked about Spurs’ chances.
Now speaking on the TalkSPORT Premier League All Access podcast, Scott Minto has discussed the Spurs manager’s comments and appears to believe Postecoglou needs to be careful with his comments, warning that too much positivity leads to complacency.
Postecoglou warned Minto shared his verdict on Ange’s comments.“You can’t say that right now.
I like his positivity but I think he needs to be careful because we saw what happened with Arsenal last season and Arsenal played better than Tottenham last season.
They’ve improved a lot, they’re off to a good start, but let’s get a little real here,” Minto said.
We hate to sound like Postecoglou fanatics, but we have to agree with the Spurs boss ahead of Minto here.What’s the harm in dreaming? Yes, it’s a bit risky to talk about a championship title in October.
