Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who is outscoring Harry Kane in the Bundesliga.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy ahead of the January transfer window.
This is according to a TEAMtalk article, who claims that Tottenham are’making early explorations’ into a deal for Guirassy.
The 27-year-old had been a bit of a journeyman in recent years, having played for Koln, Amiens, and Rennes with varied degrees of success.
Guirassy’s loan move to Stuttgart in 2022 has really gotten him rolling, as he scored 14 goals in 28 games last season.
This season has been even better, with Guirassy scoring 11 goals in just six appearances, becoming an overnight sensation.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Serhou Guirassy.
Unsurprisingly, Guirassy’s future is being discussed, with clubs no likely interested in signing him.
According to reports, Tottenham are already looking at signing Guirassy during the January transfer window.
According to the report, Fulham and West Ham United have recently shown interest in Guirassy.
Both clubs could want to acquire another striker in January, with Fulham in particular in need of a striker following the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Tottenham, on the other hand, is a very enticing possibility, and Guirassy might be a steal thanks to a reasonable release clause.
Guirassy is free to leave Stuttgart in 2024 for about £20 million (£17.3 million), and Spurs may attempt to activate that clause.
Guirassy has previously been considered by the Spurs.
Guirassy is not a fresh name in Tottenham rumours.
Spurs were linked with a move for Guirassy in 2015, when he was still with Stade Lavallois.
The links were revived in 2020, when the Daily Mail revealed that Spurs had been seeing Guirassy play for Amiens.
Spurs did not pull the trigger at the time because the COVID pandemic struck shortly after, forcing Tottenham to take a different route, signing Carlos Vinicius on loan instead.
With Guirassy currently ahead of Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts, there may be some irony in Spurs initially recruiting him to complement Kane, but now turning to him to help replace the England hero.
