Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has admitted he was confused by Ange Postecoglou’s decision to take Son off during the Liverpool game.

The match led to Liverpool being down a man and a goal in the first half, but Spurs had luck on their side as a terrible VAR error went to their advantage.
Luis Diaz scored a legitimate goal, but the VAR ruled it out despite him being sent off.
But moments later Liverpool had equalized when Gakpo scored in first-half stoppage time.
But it was Spurs who emerged victorious after Joel Matip scored a 96th-minute own goal to seal victory for the north London club.
During the match, Jamie O’Hara admitted he was shocked when Ange took Son off in the 69th minutes.

Ange Postecoglou later admitted that she removed the South Korean star due to fitness issues.
The Australian said the Tottenham captain will never play the entire match.
He said (via Football London):
“Look, he wasn’t 100%, but I had a conversation with him yesterday and he was desperate to play. He wanted to give what he could and he did.
“He would never play the full ninety. We would always give him an hour or so, but he drove to the front again and he was the one who pressed.”

With Tottenham looking for a winner, the Australian opted to send Veliz into attack to partner Richarlison in the final minutes of the match, with the Argentine striker replacing James Maddison just before added time.
Tottenham continued to push and eventually found the winner, although there was a bit of luck in how they got it, with Joel Matip turning a low cross from Pedro Porro into his own net.
A wild celebration followed from the Spurs players in front of the noisy South Stand, with Veliz in the middle of the celebration.
