Klopp admits a ‘unbelievable’ Liverpool player won’t be at the match against Tottenham.

Stefan Bajcetic will not travel with Liverpool to visit Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, according manager Jurgen Klopp.

The 18-year-old has experienced a “little setback” ahead of the Spurs match, according to the Anfield manager, who was speaking to the Reds media team.

Bajcetic has now made 21 competitive appearances for Liverpool, including a cameo in the team’s victory over Leicester on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

However, in light of Bajcetic’s recent recovery from the prior long-term ailment, Klopp has now stated that he is being treated for a calf issue.

Stefan had a little, little setback,” he told the Liverpool website.

“The problem with Stefan is I can imagine everyone wants to see him play more – I want – but we have to be really careful.

“And now it’s a little, little, little tiny calf issue. That’s how it is when you are six months out.

“And we try everything to get him up to speed without pushing him.

We construct a very particular plan for him, but in the end, he receives another one, which is disappointing for both of us.

Therefore, we need to remove him little. Other than playing, he can work on pretty much anything else. That would be it, I suppose.
