Dominik Szoboszlai scored a stunning goal as Liverpool faced Leicester in the Carabao Cup.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have made a promising start to the 23/24 season as he is currently unbeaten in all competitions after putting in a spirited performance to beat West Ham United on Sunday.
On Wednesday night Liverpool faced Leicester City, who were aiming for a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Liverpool fell behind after Kasey McAteer scored in the third minute.
However, Liverpool got back into the game in the second half thanks to Cody Gakpo. With 70 minutes to go, summer signing Szoboszlai pulled something out of the top drawer when he fired a superb shot into the Leicester goal.
Szoboszlai has already won the hearts of many Liverpool fans since his £60 million move from RB Leipzig this summer.
Speaking recently about his move to Liverpool, Szoboszlai said it was a dream of his to play for the Anfield club.
He told the club’s official website: “I have worked hard to become a Liverpool player. It was a dream. I think it’s a dream for every footballer to play for Liverpool, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“And also the fans, the club, the history and being able to play with the legends and the players I play with, it’s a pleasure to be here. Only the fans, only the stadium, only the team, only the history of the club – everything.”
Szoboszlai added: “I want to accomplish many things this year and not only this year but also in the coming years.”
