When facing Salford City in the Carabao Cup, Vincent Kompany discusses how Burnley will prepare.

Burnley’s Carabao Cup match against Salford City will give Vincent Kompany another chance to try out his entire lineup.

The likes of Dara O’Shea, Hannes Delcroix, Vitinho, Jack Cork, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Manuel Benson, Anass Zaroury, Nathan Redmond, and Jay Rodriguez will be aiming to get some crucial playing time under their belts. Arijanet Muric is set to fill in for James Trafford in goal.

Michael Obafemi (hamstring), Darko Churlinov (health concern), and Hjalmar Ekdal (knee) will all be sidelined as Lyle Foster serves the second game of a three-match suspension.

Tomorrow’s match at the Peninsula Stadium is a terrific game for us, according to Kompany.

We believe there are many athletes you haven’t seen yet who have potential and quality, and we hope we can help them get closer to what we want to achieve.

Burnley FC and Manchester United are playing in the Premier League on September 23, 2023, at Turf Moor in Burnley, England. Burnley’s manager, Vincent Kompany, is watching the game.

Salford, Burnley’s opponents, have had a difficult start to the new season as they are currently fourth from the bottom after nine games.

The Ammies, who are led by former Clarets loanee Neil Wood, have only won twice thus far and were recently defeated 3-2 by Harrogate Town.

However, they have previously pulled off two surprises in this competition after defeating Championship teams Preston North End and Leeds United, both on penalties, to get to this stage.
