Tottenham Hotspur’s Destiny Udogie is now listed as the fourth fastest player in the Premier League this season.
Udogie was in fourth place while Fulham’s Antonee Robinson was in the lead. And that will bode well for Udogie ahead of Sunday’s north London derby.
The 20-year-old will of course have the unenviable task of stopping Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
But judging by the £20million man’s start to the season, there may not be a better player for the position at the moment.
Udogie is already one of the biggest success stories of the season under Ange Postecoglou.
Although Spurs fans had hoped the left-back would be ready for the Premier League, few would have expected such a high level.
Udogie has adapted quickly to this Spurs team and is thriving under his new boss.
Plus, the fact that he is Tottenham’s fastest player this season is just another incentive for Udogie.
And as he mentioned, Udogie might need all that recovery pace when he faces Arsenal this weekend.
Of course, for all of Postecoglou’s optimism and good spirit so far, Sunday will be by far the biggest test yet.
A win could lift this Spurs team to unimaginable heights of confidence, and obviously a defeat would be humiliating. Amazing” Udogie vs. Saka is one of the most important matches in the game.
Pedro Porro will have to give his all in defense to contain Leandro Trossard. And similarly, Oleksandr Zinchenko may struggle to handle a resurgent DejanKulusevski
It will be a game full of stories and Tottenham will be happy to have their fastest player, Destiny Udogie, ready to go.A twenty-year-old who already shows a lot of maturity and responsibility in his performances.
