Spurs defender takes to social media to announce he is leaving the club .

Malachi Fagan-Walcott has now confirmed that he has left Tottenham Hotspur and thanked the coaches at the club for helping him develop into the player that he is today.

Fagan-Walcott was thought of highly while coming through the age group ranks at Spurs and has represented England at Under-17s and Under-16s levels.

The centre-back was handed his senior debut for Spurs back in 2020, aged just 18, during the club’s Champions League defeat away to RB Leipzig, and that has been his only first-team appearance to date.
The 21-year-old had an ill-fated temporary spell at Dundee United in January 2021, where he suffered a season-ending injury after making just two appearances for the Scottish club.

Over the past few years, the versatile defender has made 49 appearances for Spurs’ Under-21s in Premier League 2, having previously featured 20 times in the Under-18 Premier League

Malachi Fagan-Walcott announces Tottenham exit

Fagan-Walcott has now taken to social media to reveal that his eight-year stay with the Lilywhites has come to an end and posted a touching goodbye message

At one point a couple of years ago, it seemed like Fagan-Walcott was likely to be the next academy defender to follow in Tanganga’s footsteps and break into the Tottenham first-team.

However, the 21-year-old’s development has completely plateaued over the last two to three years, partly due to his injury woes. The centre-back will be hoping that a fresh start away from Spurs would help get his career back on track.
