Bradley Ihionvien, a Colchester United phenomenon, is being chased by Burnley, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace, according to sources.
Numerous clubs in the Premier League and the Championship, including Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Watford, and Norwich, are reportedly interested in Colchester United striker Bradley Ihionvien.
Ihionvein, 19, has impressed for Colchester thus far this season in League Two, drawing interest from clubs further up the football food chain.
The strong striker has scored twice in his previous three games, including last weekend’s (9 September) victory over Tranmere Rovers. He made his debut in the final game of the 2021β22 season.
Ihionvein has made six appearances in League Two so far this season, and thanks to his performance, scouts are lining up to see him play.
Colchester has big expectations for the adolescent and is preparing for interest in the gifted attacker.
The left-footed forward’s contract with Essex expires at the end of the current campaign.
After spending the first half of the 2022β23 season on loan at non-league Maldon and Tiptree, he gained additional experience in senior football.
Ihionvein scored three goals in 18 games for the club in the eighth division.
A number of prominent EFL stars, including as Junior Tchmadeu of Stoke and Sammie Szmodics of Blackburn, were created by Colchester.
Szmodics and Kane Vincent-Young both received high six-figure salaries from the U after their exits in recent years.
Burnley and Crystal Palace, two Premier League teams with a reputation for producing elite talent, are both interested in the 19-year-old.
Although Leicester, Watford, and Norwich are also interested, their status as second-tier teams may make them less appealing to Ihionvein.
