Jason Kidd has an opportunity to become part of an exclusive group in these NBA Finals.

BOSTON: Jason Kidd, who won an NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks as a player in 2011, now has the opportunity to win one as a coach for the Mavericks. If he succeeds, he would join a very exclusive group of just 14 individuals in NBA history who have won titles both as players and head coaches. This distinguished list includes Rick Carlisle, Larry Costello, Billy Cunningham, Tom Heinsohn, Red Holzman, Phil Jackson, Buddy Jeannette, K.C. Jones, Steve Kerr, Tyronn Lue, Pat Riley, Bill Russell, George Senesky, and Bill Sharman.
