Everton can take advantage of Man United’s PSR issues by signing ‘special talent’ for bargain fee

The summer transfer window is fast approaching and Everton are preparing for a major squad overhaul.

David Moyes will be handed a substantial budget by the Friedkin Group, who are desperate to return the club to Europe.

Everton have just banked around £140m in prize money for finishing in 13th place, so they aren’t short of funds.

But, after Manchester United’s Europa League defeat last night, thus failing to qualify for the Champions League, there is an opportunity to sign a very talented youngster for a bargain fee.

United are in a perilous position PSR-wise, so David Moyes and his recruitment chiefs should test the waters with an offer.

Everton should try to sign Manchester United youngster Harry Amass for bargain fee

Manchester United could be forced to sell this summer after missing out on the Champions League prize money.

Finance expert Kieran Maguire told BBC Sport that it was financially the ‘most important game in the club’s history’.

So with that said, Everton can use this opportunity to force United into selling Harry Amass for a bargain fee.

The Toffees hold the negotiating power, and with Moyes in the market for a left-back, Amass would be a brilliant addition.

The 18-year-old is regarded as a ‘special talent’ and could be an immediate upgrade on Vitaliy Mykolenko, with the potential to get even better.

Harry Amass propaganda isn’t even needed. He’s just such a special talent.

Leicester City want to sign Amass

Amass has Championship interest ahead of the summer transfer window with Leicester City particularly keen to win the race, according to GiveMeSport.

That interest will likely stem from Ruud van Nistelrooy, who worked with the England youth international earlier this season.

However, Van Nistelrooy is now expected to leave Leicester, so that potential deal could now be off the table for the Foxes.

As such, Everton may have a clear run at Amass.
