David Moyes ‘bargaining chip’ emerges for Friedkins after huge Everton reveal

Sky pundit makes himself laugh over Everton and Alexander-Arnold transfer claim

The football finance expert believes that Everton will look to spend bigger than usual, and Moyes will be able to say where they should be investing for their plans moving forward.

“Certainly, it has done him no harm with the Everton position,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“He’s probably gone into that aware that there is a bigger picture in terms of what the club is wanting to do, maybe in the future on manager-wise and how they want to set that up.

He’s certainly given himself the best opportunity to be that person who takes the club forward into this new era, and that success on the pitch in the short term has steadied that ship.

That will give him a good bargaining chip going into the summer.

We’ve said it was likely that Everton will look to spend in the summer; they weren’t in that place in January, the finances are looking much better now in terms of the balance sheet and what they can do.

He’s given himself the best opportunity to say to the Friedkins, look, this is where we should be investing and these are the plans moving forward.”

With the move to the new stadium around the corner and a bigger budget likely available, Moyes has all the tools to really transform everything again.
