LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) – Kentucky police are searching for a man who has repeatedly defecated on the same porch over the past week without any clear motive.
The Louisville Metro Police Department has received three reports about the so-called “porch pooper,” who has gained significant attention online after doorbell camera footage of him was shared on Reddit and Instagram.
The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, first noticed something unusual on Tuesday morning.
“I went out to my front porch and saw what I initially thought was cat poop,” the homeowner said.
After cleaning up the mess, he reviewed footage from his Nest doorbell camera and realized it was not a cat responsible for the incident.
“Not only did he defecate, but he also urinated on our welcome mat,” he explained.
The homeowner is baffled as to why his porch has been targeted, as he has no idea who the man is.
“I have no idea. We’re good neighbors, we keep to ourselves, and we behave well. I can’t think of any reason why someone would want to do this as some sort of retribution,” he said.
The homeowner noted that the man has visited his porch multiple times, and he once attempted to confront him. However, by the time he reached the front door, the man had already fled.
“I’m relieved that he’s not violent or trying to break in,” the homeowner added. “But what he’s doing is very unsettling and disturbing.”
