“I can’t take it…..” – Jimbo meltdown after lost of……

Jimbo experienced a breakdown in a portable toilet on the Drag Race set after losing multiple lip-sync battles, saying, “I couldn’t handle it anymore.” She shared with EW about scream-crying inside the porta potty and sticking her head into an air conditioning vent after several losses.

Published by Joey Nolfi on July 18, 2023, at 1:49 PM EDT, Jimbo described how losing a lip-sync can ruin her day. In a joint interview with fellow finalist Kandy Muse on EW’s Quick Drag podcast, the Canada’s Drag Race alum discussed the emotional toll of these losses during the filming of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8.

“I couldn’t take it anymore, so I stuck my entire head in the air conditioning tube. I just needed to change my perspective, and the sound of the intense air conditioning was the only thing that could do it,” Jimbo said, reflecting on her mindset after losing her third AS8 Lip-Sync for Your Legacy, this time against Jasmine Kennedie in episode 5. “I told everyone, ‘I’m fine, don’t worry, I’m just going to the bathroom,’ but the bathroom was literally made of paper.”

Kandy confirmed that the bathroom in question was indeed a porta potty, recalling Jimbo walking inside “screaming” after the Main Stage battle.

“I lost my mind, crying and putting myself down. Everyone outside could hear me,” Jimbo continued. “I left the porta potty saying, ‘Haha, I’m totally fine, off to get my lunch now,’ and then I walked through the cast holding tent and found an industrial air conditioner with a tube large enough for my head. I stuck my head in the air conditioner and tried to climb into it. I just needed intense feelings to change where I was, so winning became everything.”

Eventually, after her earlier losses on Canada’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World, Jimbo won her first-ever Drag Race lip-sync against Silky Nutmeg Ganache on All Stars 8’s ninth episode.

Listen to Jimbo recount her meltdown around the 59:37 mark in EW’s Quick Drag podcast. The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 Grand Finale premieres Friday on Paramount+.
