Caitlin Clark has been one of the most exciting offensive players in the WNBA this season, and the Indiana Fever recently showcased her impressive skills.
The Fever shared a video highlighting Clark’s exceptional three-point shooting, noting that she leads the league in the average distance of her made three-pointers.
While the WNBA three-point line is 22 feet and 1.75 inches from the basket, Clark’s average three-pointer is from 28 feet and 1.1 inches away.
The video demonstrated Clark’s shooting range compared to her peers, Sabrina Ionescu and Diana Taurasi, with Ionescu averaging 26.10 feet and Taurasi 25.93 feet for their three-pointers.
At the end of the video, the Fever praised Clark’s achievement with a brief note: “League of her own.”
Despite some struggles with efficiency this season, with a 32.8% shooting rate from beyond the arc and 41.2% overall, Clark has still delivered impressive numbers in her rookie year.
The 22-year-old is averaging 17.8 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game, leading all rookies in both points and assists.
Since returning from the WNBA’s break for the Summer Olympics, Clark’s scoring has reached new heights. During the Fever’s recent two-game winning streak against the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm, her performance improved. In the Fever’s 98-89 win over the Mercury on August 16, Clark recorded 29 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds, shooting 50% from the field.
