Leeds United finalize £10.5m transfer, not a concern for Sheffield Wednesday for now

Belgian-born former Manchester United youth talent Largie Ramazani has completed his transfer to West Yorkshire from Spanish club Almería for a reported fee of around £10.2m. This move comes in the same week that Leeds fan favorite Georginio Rutter’s £40m release clause was activated by Premier League side Brighton, with his transfer finalized on Monday. Additionally, key players Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville have also departed.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported earlier this week that Leeds were racing to sign the 23-year-old in time for their match against Sheffield Wednesday this evening. However, the necessary paperwork was not processed in time, so Ramazani will not be available for the Hillsborough fixture.

Ahead of the game, Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl was asked about Leeds’ start to the season, which has seen them draw both of their opening Championship matches and suffer a 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup.
