Ian Gillan announces that Deep Purple’s schedule is fully booked until the end of 2026…..

Ian Gillan announces that Deep Purple’s schedule is fully booked until the end of 2026.

In 2017, Deep Purple, the trailblazers of heavy metal, kicked off their extensive “The Long Goodbye Tour,” which lasted approximately two and a half years and covered four continents. It seemed like a grand farewell, but since then, the band has released three new albums and continued to tour, suggesting that the so-called goodbye wasn’t as final as it sounded.

Ian Gillan, the lead vocalist of Deep Purple, recently clarified that the “long goodbye” was more of a playful gimmick than a serious farewell. In a recent interview on Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk (as reported by Blabbermouth), Gillan explained that the tour’s name was a marketing strategy by the promoters to boost ticket sales. He added the term “long” to make it more enigmatic and intriguing.
