EVA LE QUEEN GETS NASTY ADVICE FROM MARINA SUMMERS BEFORE ‘RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE GLOBAL ALL STARS

Drag Race Philippines has quickly become a beloved spinoff in the global RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise.

Marina Summers, a standout from Drag Race Philippines, made a splash on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Versus the World. Now, her Season 1 sister, Eva Le Queen, is gaining international attention on RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars. During a recent press interview for Global All Stars, we asked Eva if Summers offered any advice before her journey to the global stage.

Although she didn’t share specific details, Eva reflected on the significance of this moment for both of them.

“It’s truly beautiful,” she shared. “We’re besties, and we’ve been dreaming about this since before Drag Race Philippines was even a thought. People used to see us as the most ambitious [Filipino drag queens], and some even looked down on us… like, ‘Girl, you don’t have to do much. You’re just a drag queen.’ But now, look at where it’s taken us. We’re global besties, hashtag friendship goals, and we’re thrilled to represent the Philippines. The drag scene here is bursting with talent and beauty.”

She also talked about how they always imagined the day when a Filipino queen would break into the Western Drag Race world, and how that dream has now come true.

“Now that it’s finally happening, it’s not just about me being special, but about proving that it can be done,” she explained. “We’ve shattered glass ceilings. We can now tell queens here that they don’t have to aim only for Drag Race Philippines. There’s a bigger mountain to climb, and all you need to do is work hard, because we’re already here.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars airs new episodes every Friday on Paramount+.
