“I was hit badly today…” Tadej Pogačar Attacked by Fan, Cycling Community Outraged

Tadej Pogačar recently faced a disturbing incident during practice today. While leading the race, a fan stepped onto the road and threw a bag of crisps directly at Pogačar’s face. This unexpected action briefly stunned the Slovenian cyclist but did not derail his performance. The same fan later repeated the act towards Jonas Vingegaard, who was in second place at the time.

Pogačar, who managed to maintain his composure and continue racing, expressed confusion and frustration about the incident, stating that he did not understand why he was attacked. The fan’s behavior was widely condemned, with the cycling community and authorities calling it dangerous and disrespectful.

In response, the Professional Cyclists’ Association (CPA) announced that it would pursue legal action against the fan for his reckless behavior. The fan was reportedly arrested for “aggravated violence,” as the incident posed a serious threat to the safety of the riders.
