Kentucky Softball Announces Signing of Six Players…

Kentucky Softball head coach Rachel Lawson has announced that she and the Kentucky Softball team have signed six new players to a valid National Letter of Intent (NLI) during the fall NLI window.

“This class has a dominant battery within it that complements each other well,” said Coach Lawson. “Lindsey Miller is an exceptional defensive catcher who will be able to work with Julie Kelley and Carson Fall. Allison Blum and Anna Mauck are both extremely versatile athletes who we will use to their full potential. They are outstanding hitters and competitors in the box who will add to the depth of our offense. Ava Emmert is a reliable infielder who adds a lot of power to our lineup and extends the length of our order one through nine.”

The signing class is another feather in the cap for the Kentucky Softball program, which has consistently signed some of the highest-ranked classes in recent years under Coach Lawson. The new recruits are expected to make significant contributions to the team’s performance and maintain its competitive edge.

The six players signed are:

  1. Lindsey Miller – An exceptional defensive catcher known for her ability to manage pitchers and control the game from behind the plate.
  2. Julie Kelley – A talented pitcher whose skills on the mound will be vital for the team’s success.
  3. Carson Fall – Another strong addition to the pitching lineup, expected to work closely with Miller to form a formidable battery.
  4. Allison Blum – A versatile athlete who can play multiple positions and is known for her powerful hitting and competitive nature.
  5. Anna Mauck – Similar to Blum, Mauck’s versatility and hitting prowess make her a valuable asset to the team’s offense and defense.
  6. Ava Emmert – A reliable infielder with significant power, adding depth and strength to the batting lineup.

All these players will enroll at the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2024 and will compete in their freshman seasons in the spring of 2025. Coach Lawson and her team are excited about the potential these new signings bring and look forward to integrating them into the program’s successful tradition.

The signing of this highly talented class continues to build on the momentum Kentucky Softball has established, and fans are eagerly anticipating the impact these new Wildcats will have on the field.
