Good News: Duke Basketball a Strong Contender for Boozer Twins

Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer is making significant strides in recruiting the five-star sons of Blue Devil champion Carlos Boozer. HS Top Recruits, known for their impressive 23-for-25 accuracy in high-profile recruiting predictions, have provided an encouraging outlook for Duke fans.

While the insider account hasn’t issued “official crystal balls” for top 2025 prospects yet, early projections suggest that Duke’s basketball staff is well-positioned to secure a potential package deal with twins Cayden and Cameron Boozer.

HS Top Recruits explained their “60 percent” confidence in the Boozers-to-Duke prediction, citing the strong connection between the Boozer family and Duke, and the allure of running a prestigious program. They believe Cameron Boozer might follow in the footsteps of Cooper Flagg, joining Duke after the coming season. Unless another school offers a substantial NIL deal, Duke remains the favorite.

247Sports’ Travis Branham also highlighted Duke, Florida, and Miami as the frontrunners for the Boozer twins, who recently led Nightrydas Elite to a Peach Jam title. Arkansas and UNC are still in the mix as well.

Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward, ranks No. 2 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, while his brother Cayden, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard, ranks 17 spots lower. Their father, Carlos Boozer, was a key player for Duke’s 2000-01 national champions and a two-time NBA All-Star.

Although the Boozer twins haven’t announced finalists or a decision timeline, the early indicators are promising for Duke basketball.
