Moses set for surgery; Edwards suffers knee injury……

Blues halfback Mitch Moses scored the decisive try, securing the Origin series for NSW at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night, but also sustained a suspected ruptured bicep.

Moses, a standout player, led the Blues to a rare decider victory in Brisbane, marking only the third time in Origin history. However, he left the field in severe discomfort with three minutes remaining.

The Eels playmaker will undergo scans, but it is anticipated he will need surgery, potentially sidelining him for the remainder of the season.

“The bicep’s gone, so I’ll need surgery on that, I’ll be out,” Moses told Fox Sports post-match. “It’s been tough for the Eels, but I’ll need to get this sorted and focus on next year.”

NSW fullback Dylan Edwards overcame a knee injury to earn man-of-the-match honors in the historic 14-4 victory at Suncorp Stadium. Diagnosed with a posterior cruciate ligament injury, Edwards may be out for two to four weeks and was not selected for Penrith’s match against the Dolphins on Sunday.

In other news, Warriors captain Tohu Harris is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a chronic wrist injury. Harris had been managing the issue for most of the year, missing four games mid-season before returning to play. He was a late withdrawal from the Warriors’ Round 18 loss to the Bulldogs, and the decision has now been made to focus on a full recovery.

Additionally, Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (calf) and winger Marcelo Montoya (groin) will miss the upcoming clash with the Raiders. The Raiders, however, receive a significant boost with halfback Jamal Fogarty returning from a biceps injury sustained in Round 7.

Meanwhile, the Panthers welcome back Nathan Cleary from a hamstring injury that has kept him out since Round 10. Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds also returns, named in the extended squad after missing eight games with a biceps injury.
