GOOD NEWS: Florida Gators are set to welcome him back…

Fleming Island (Florida) athlete Kaylib Singleton has been linked with Florida for a while, and his upcoming official visit could be the key to earning a commitment from the in-state recruit.

Singleton last visited The Swamp in April for the Orange and Blue Game, but this trip is about getting more time with the coaching staff, according to a recent check-in from 247Sports. Although the abolition of the 5-visit limit has somewhat cheapened the official visit, it’s still a major moment on the recruiting timeline for serious contenders.

Singleton will be one of many official visitors who open up the summer contact period in Gainesville. The entire staff at UF will be on hand to roll out the red carpet for them.

ingleton’s high school is only 90 minutes away from Florida, enabling him to be a frequent flyer on campus. In addition to the spring game Singleton attended, he visited for a Junior Day as well.

“I really feel like I’ve seen everything,” he said. “I just want to see if there is a family connection with all of us. I like being there, so just going to get around the coaches and talk to them some more, and get even closer.”

Defensive backs coach Will Harris has played a large role in this recruitment, but it’s a good chance to get some face-to-face time with him and the rest of the staff.
