Warriors coach Andrew Webster will welcome back seven players for Saturday night’s clash against the Cowboys in Townsville but star halfback Shaun Johnson is not one of them.
Captain Tohu Harris (finger), Addin Fonua-Blake (club stand down), Wayde Egan (concussion), Kurt Capewell (calf), Rocco Berry (hand), Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (illness) and Taine Tuaupiki (maternity leave) are all back in contention for the round 14 match.
Johnson remains on the sidelines due to a pectoral strain suffered in the round ten loss to the Roosters, but is expected back for round 15, when the Warriors host the Storm on June 15.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was a late omission before the Roosters match but his hamstring injury is progressing nicely and he is now slated to return in round 16.
Harris and Berry were also injured during the Warriors loss to the Roosters, while Capewell, who will return off the bench this week, has not played since the round nine defeat to Newcastle. Egan suffered a concussion in the Magic Round win over the Panthers.
