Hull KR and Hull FC have completed a swap deal for props Yusuf Aydin and Jack Brown.
Turkey international Aydin, 23, joined FC on loan from Rovers last month and featured against Leeds and Warrington. But the ex-Wakefield front-row has now signed a two-and-a-half year deal at MKM Stadium. Brown, also 23, has moved the other way with immediate effect on the same length of contract.
He was due out of contract at the end of the season with the Robins set to bring him to the club he supported as a boy. But Brown, who burst onto the scene with a try-scoring debut against Catalans in 2019, now moves across to the east side of the city early. He has made 73 appearances for Hull and established himself as one of Super League’s best young props.
Brown said: “I’m buzzing. Coming early wasn’t something I expected but it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. Willie [Peters] sold me the club straight away. Hull KR is in a great spot and hopefully that continues. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with the boys and learning all I can to develop my own game and help the team.
