Good News:The Pittsburgh Steelers can officially begin their search for a veteran quarterback.

Another season for the Steelers. veteran joins the group to battle third-year starter Kenny Pickett.

And one name associated with them has officially hit the open market.

The Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson have officially parted ways, ending one of the strangest games in NFL history.

Denver took out more than $85 million in life insurance to get rid of the former Super Bowl champion, and Wilson, now 35, is looking for a new home.

The Steelers were named as a landing spot for Wilson during the offseason. ,

sparking a debate about whether they would want to sign a proven veteran nearing the end of his career.

At this point, it would be unlikely that Piketo would start in 2024, which is inconsistent with everything head coach Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan said during the offseason.

However, All Steelers has learned that the Steelers would be interested in signing Wilson to a one-year deal if he is willing to sign a small contract.

It was denied that he could sign the league minimum in 2024 if it includes an option to start.Pittsburgh will consider a trade if offered the opportunity.

They are still looking to sign Mason Rudolph and would like Wilson to be a veteran leader while their two younger quarterbacks remain.

Wilson was 11-19 as a starter in Denver and 7-8 last season. He threw for 3,070 yards and 26 touchdowns with eight interceptions

last year before being benched in Week 16 for contract reasons.

The Steelers have an opportunity to negotiate with Wilson during the statutory waiver period, which begins March 11.Be sure to bookmark
