Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets picks: Who will win on Thursday Night Football?

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns (10-5) have a chance to clinch a playoff berth at home on Thursday night when they host the Jets (6-9).

New York is already eliminated from postseason contention.

Former Jets quarterback Joe Flacco will face his old team at his new home and he will try to keep this red hot passing game rolling for the Browns. The Jets, meanwhile, are back to Trevor Siemian at quarterback and, even with a great defense, will be hard-pressed to keep pace with the Browns.

Here are our staff picks for Thursday Night Football. The Browns were 7.5-point favorites when picks were requested.

Mary Kay Cabot (12-3 overall; 8-5-2 against the spread): Browns 27, Jets 17

Joe Flacco makes the Jets sorry they didn’t drag him off the couch.

Dan Labbe (9-6; 9-4-2): Browns 25, Jets 14

There’s enough going on to think things could get weird enough for the Jets to make it interesting, but this team is too focused right now to let this opportunity slip away.

The Browns have been stellar at home, and with Joe Flacco leading them, I think they don’t shy away from the moment and clinch at Cleveland Browns Stadium in prime time.

Irie Harris (9-6; 8-5-2): Browns 28, Jets 12

A little weird expecting this many points from Cleveland’s offense, but it fits the recent trend. The defense shall pitch in per usual as well.

Jimmy Watkins (8-7; 5-8-2): Browns 17, Jets 10

New York has the best defense Joe Flacco has seen in Cleveland, but Trevor Siemian might be the worst quarterback to play the Browns’ defense this year.
