Joe Flacco of the Cleveland Browns had his third straight 300-yard game, finishing with 368 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cleveland Browns may be the quarterback of the season, but Joe Flacco is playing more consistently than any of the Browns quarterbacks this season, including Deshaun Watson.

Flacco threw for more than 300 yards in a game for the third straight week, leading the Browns to a 36-22 victory.

“He played great,” Stefanski said. “Joe is doing his job.”.Flacco went 27-of-42 for 368 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

His grade was 96.1. That would have been nice, but after Dustin Hopkins left with a back injury and no touchdown, Flacco threw an interception in the end zone on fourth down.

“It was a lot of fun,” Flacco said after the game. “It’s special to remember how much fun he had.”

Through four games, Flacco is 104 of 175 for 1,307 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Flacco was asked how special it was to start four games with the Browns, including three 300-yard games. .

“If you think about it, there’s probably a time in your career where you’re grateful you can win a game.”

Flacco is now 3-1 in his first four games as the Browns’ starting quarterback.

He is also the first Browns player to throw for over 300 yards since Brian Sipe in 1980.

Last week against the Bears, Flacco threw for 212 yards in the fourth quarter, becoming the first Browns quarterback to do so in 45 years..

Flacco opened the game with a 53-yard strike to Amari Cooper at the Texans’ 6-yard line to set up the Browns’ first score.

Cooper passed for over 1,000 yards in his sophomore season.

For the first time in history, a Browns receiver has done it.

Flacco was 12 of 22 for 246 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the first half.

Rating 86.8. Including the fourth quarter against the Bears, Flacco threw for 435 yards and three touchdowns at halftime over the final three quarters.

The Cleveland Browns receiver is doing something no other Browns receiver has done before.

The 53-yard touchdown set up the Browns’ first score of the game, giving the Browns a 7–0 lead with 13:18 left in the first quarter.

Cooper entered the game with 61 receptions for 985 yards, including three touchdowns.

Additionally, Cooper is averaging 16.1 yards per reception.

With just 15 yards remaining, Cooper became the first Browns receiver to reach 1,000 yards in a second straight season.

In 2022, Cooper had 1,160 yards on 78 receptions. After the game, Cooper now has 72 receptions for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns.

Cooper had a day in the first half. After the touchdown, Flacco hit Cooper for a 75-yard touchdown with 12:08 left in the second quarter.

Cooper was intercepted on the play but caught the ball. Cooper had three receptions for 150 yards in 12:08 of the first half.

But Cooper wasn’t done yet. Cooper had the best game in Browns history with 265 receiving yards on 11 receptions, including two touchdowns previously held by Josh Gordon.

“He was very special,” Kevin Stefanski said. “Is a good person.”

Cooper led the Browns by 15 points later until Stefanski returned a kickoff and Cooper caught a 13-yard pass on fourth down for his first score of the day.

Cooper said he didn’t realize he was so close to the record until Alex Van Pelt told him he needed 10 yards.

Cooper said, “I didn’t know Josh Gordon’s record, but I wondered if there was any reason not to go for 300 (yards).”

Cooper said it was special to reach the record and go over 1,000 yards. “It feels really good,” Cooper said. “I’m not taking anything for granted.

“In Browns history, 13 players have had 14 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

No Browns receiver has recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in franchise history since the team’s inception in 1946, including Dante Lavelli, Mack Speedy, Paul Warfield and Ozzie Newsome.

Ravelli has never had a 1,000-yard season in his career.
