Browns star Myles Garrett sent a message to former QB Case Keenum.

Myles Garrett has no plans to relax when he faces former Cleveland Browns teammate Case Keenum on Sunday.

Keenum was replaced by rookie C.J. Stroud was ruled out with a concussion.

He spent most of the afternoon dodging Garrett’s pressure, but Keenum said a deal could be reached.

“I hope he remembers the deal I made with him in the hot tub in 2021,” Keenum said on the “ManningCast” during Monday Night Football. “

I said, ‘Hey Miles, if I give you two sacks in the first quarter, you don’t have to rush the rest of the game.’

Obviously, I don’t know if I’ll play or not, but I’ll see if he remembers the deal.

Peyton Manning joked that it was a good deal for Keenum, who spent several seasons as Garrett’s teammate in Cleveland.

“Okay, he’s smart,” Manning said. “That’s good foresight on your part.”

But Garrett has no intention of sticking to the verbal agreement, joking that he’s never seen a signed contract.

“I don’t remember signing on the dotted line,” Garrett said Friday, Dec. 22. “If he has the paper, he can show it to me on Sunday.”

Maybe we’ll figure it out, but until then I guess I’ll have to do the dirty work.

Garrett has 13 sacks this season but has gone four games without a sack.

He is dealing with a shoulder injury and what he is saying is unfair.

However, even without recording a single sack, he is impressive.

When asked if he had another preference, Garrett said, “I think it’s just beating blockers and being successful in matchups.”

“As much success as I’ve had in the past, that doesn’t mean I can’t go to another level.

That doesn’t mean I can’t find ways to improve or better the people around me, my colleagues.

We have to find a way to make explosive parts. I’d say we’ve been in a deficit recently, but we’ve got to keep passing the ball and making plays like that.

The task won’t be easy this week for Garrett, who will be paired with three-time Pro Bowler Laremy Tunsil.

But Garrett is up for the challenge. “I think he’s one of the best hitters in the league, left-handed or right-handed,” Garrett said.

“Great talent, great skills, great athlete. The child has everything. So, I’m looking forward to it being like the game against Trent (Williams) from earlier this year.Garrett, Browns think highly of Case Keenum.

Keenum led the Texans to a win last week, passing for 229 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

He has over 10 years of experience in the league and the Browns are not taking Keenum lightly.

“A real vet who’s seen it all,” Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said of Keenum.

“Very accurate passer. He does things differently than CJ. But Stroud led them to a win last week.

When all is said and done, the head coach and quarterback will be judged victorious, and Case Keenum will be the winner.
