Browns Kevin Stefanski is here.Coach of the year? Contract extension?

It’s all in the head of the Browns coach.NFL: Pro Football Hall of Fame –

The last time I wrote an article about Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, it was about defense.

This part will be a little different. That should be a testament to what Stefanski has done this season.

There’s no need to get on the podium. Instead, I’ll be handing out pamphlets and delivering good news about why Stefanski might not only get a contract extension, but could be Coach of the Year this season.

As someone who played football from youth league all the way up to NCAA Division 3, I had coaches. Some were good, some not so much. What makes a great coach?

There are more, but I’ll leave it at that. Stefanski examines at least all four of these properties.

For years, the one thing Cleveland lacked in head coaching jobs was leadership.

Stefanski was the leader of this football team. If you see him address the team in his post-win speech, that team will be invited.

He trusts the players and they trust him.

This season’s three candidates for Coach of the Year are (in no particular order):Houston Texans HC DeMeco LionsCleveland Browns HC Kevin Stefanski Indianapolis Colts HC Shane Steichen.

They all have strong claims to win the award, but if you ask me who is the biggest contender for the award, it would be Stefanski.

Why? Let me explain. It would have come as a surprise to anyone to hear that Cleveland would come in 9-5 and take full control of the AFC wild-card spot despite losing several key players to season-ending or offseason injuries ( players in bold). ).

During the season):QB Deshaun WatsonRB Nick Chubb Lieutenant Jedrick WillsRT Jack Conklin D. T. Maurice HirstS Grant Delpit CB Denzel District John Thornhill Ogbo Okoronkwo.

There are many injuries. The team is 9-5. There is talk that the Browns won because of “luck” and that they are “the worst 9-5 team ever.”

First of all, it’s hard to win in the NFL. Not all winnings are guaranteed.

Here are some numbers to share with you. DVOA team 9th place 20 point difference (12th place)You may be wondering why I mentioned this number.

It’s simple. If you’re trying to measure how good a band is, these two metrics are important in determining how good a band is. Hate it or hate it, Cleveland is a good team.

Would you believe me if I told you the Browns would win multiple times this season with four different quarterbacks? Quarterbacks Deshaun Watson, PJ Walker, rookies Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Joe Flacco are four quarterbacks who have played under center and won games under Stefanski.

It’s crazy to think.Cleveland has a capable QB, which is why the team is where it is.

Stefansky had a lot to do with it.When it comes to play calling, I miss saying “Kevin needs to quit play calling.” or “We need to move the ball more.”

Flacco has moments where he threatens the ball and makes excellent passes, but Stefanski has had a lot to do with an offense that has looked competent lately.

Let’s think back to the 4th and 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars from a few weeks ago.

Stefanski deserves praise for the conception, design and execution of his work.

The 38-year-old Flacco saw new life in him, and Stefanski helped him by using RPOs (run-pass options), play-action and some quick-play short concepts.

With the Browns’ game, Stefanski was not only announced as Coach of the Year, but also received a contract extension.

He managed this through coaching this season. Are we done with the questions about Stefanski, the future head coach of the Browns, this season?
