David Njoku shares shocking details about the incident that threatened his life.

The Cleveland Browns have surprised many around the country by finding a way to keep winning despite adversity.

Even after losing star forward Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson this season, they finished with a 9-5 record, and while the wins weren’t great, they were tough.

The team showed tremendous strength and resilience, especially since setbacks on the field were not limited to injuries or health problems.

David Njoku suffered a burn at home earlier this season, which left him grateful to the NFL and said his next game will be an interesting one for him.

The backyard fire incident left Njoku with burns to his face and hands, which he said caused him to lose his sight.

However, he was able to play against the Baltimore Ravens that week and caught six passes for 46 yards in that game.

Njoku, a former first-round pick, played each of his seven seasons in Cleveland and had the best performance of his career this year, posting career highs in receiving yards (704) and touchdowns (5).

While Cleveland struggled to get over the line and pass the ball, Njoku teamed up with star wide receiver Amari Cooper to give the Browns a very solid offensive duo.

They are fifth in the AFC and on track to make the playoffs for the third time since they began play in 1999.
