Brown’s schedule: Major updates on CJ Stroud, Aaron Rodgers

Cleveland’s playoff hopes continue to rise as the opposing QB is likely to leave.

The history of the Cleveland Browns’ seasons has yet to be fully written, but we know the book will include a chapter not just on injuries, but on injuries everywhere.

The Browns managed to post a 9-5 record despite losing around the team and playing four quarterbacks.

Cleveland continued to battle injuries and turn the ball over, but they entered Week 16 with a chance to make the NFL Playoffs.

The news that CJ Stroud and Aaron Rodgers are unlikely to play against Cleveland might have made things a little easier for the Browns in recent games.

Stroud missed last week with a concussion and hasn’t progressed enough for the Houston Texans to believe he’ll be able to play again this week.

“He should have missed another game,” a source said Tuesday, adding that the Texans will continue to monitor Stroud’s progress until a final decision is made.

Week 17 after the Texans will feature a massive matchup between Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers on Thursday Night Football.

Instead, Rodgers said he would not return after the New York Jets were eliminated from the playoffs.

The Jets’ choice to start opposite Joe Flacco is up in the air because of Zach Wilson’s concussion.

Cleveland has been plagued by injuries all year, but the Browns, who have played against backup quarterbacks the past three games, will make the playoffs much easier.
