Even when he threw multiple interceptions against the Chicago Bears, he was immune to criticism (eg, “Two of those picks have former rookie wide receivers!” or “The defensive back made a great play.”).

The Bears used an aggressive mentality when it came to short-yardage defense, and when the time came, Flacco adjusted and had a stellar performance in the fourth quarter.

Did you throw it to Amari Cooper? this. And the touch ball that set up David Njoku’s winner? It’s going fantastic.

We’re all rooting for Flacco. What he’s accomplished in just a few weeks, minus four-fifths of his offense, is incredible.

It’s surprising to think how quickly Flacco picked things up compared to how long it took Deshaun Watson to shake off the rust.RB:

While the Bears field one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, Cleveland has struggled to find consistency on the field. No wonder the Browns are averaging just 1.6 YPC.

Hopefully fans will understand at least a little bit why the Browns need to switch to a passing attack more often.

However, this fake play action still leaves plenty of options open on the field for Flacco.

WR: We didn’t know before the game that Marquis Goodwin was finally back and active.

I would have liked to see a connection between him and Joe Flacco, and on the first down, they connected on a 57-yard bomb.

Goodwin would be a great weapon or bait for Flacco’s arm, but let some run underneath him.

Amari Cooper did a great job with the ropes on the sideline. Cedric Tillman received some criticism for his two interceptions, but after a short pass that led to a first down, he was hit by the quarterback and the other quarterback and receiver were not on the same line.

I don’t think the game will diminish Tillman’s stock. David Bell’s side suffered a small blow when Goodwin returned.

TE: Another week and another great game for David Njoku. Even after all these years, he still has a quarterback who likes to throw the ball.

Njoku was also set for some drops, but the defender made a great play.

His two catches on the final drive set up Cleveland’s game-winning touchdown.

OL: And then there was Wyatt Teller, the only player left on the offensive line.

We thought we were third in center depth when Nick Harris went down, but he came back a game later.

Let’s find out how Joel Bitonio is doing. This patchwork device ties everything together, but as you can see, it needs more flags.
